XXI PAN-AMERICAN CONGRESS OF ARCHITECTS

The preparatory works towards the celebration of the XXI Pan-American Congress of Architects have started, the decided participation of all the national sections of the FPAA has allowed to make an ample diffusion of the event in all America and now it is the precise moment to start the capitulation of all the reflections that we have performed to the congress matter enviorment.

The importance of counting with specific elements that provide a different vision of the architect's task that feels an uncertain perspective in the beginning of the next century, makes the subject encourage essential discussions by means of archidialogues implementation in each of the countries members of FPAA.

The purpose that persecutes the present publication has a double intention, on one hand to promote the inscriptions to the Congress and on the other hand to reiterate the commitment of Mexico of being worthy host of so magno encounter, so that, together in September of the 2000 we present/display to all America a valid point of view of the " Man, Space and Society" after to have discussed thru 500 days " on "where are we going."

Since we have indicated previously, the intention of the congress is nearer a human vision of the society, than any other congress that are being held in any latitude. Nevertheless we cannot avoid mentioning that circumstances of " postmodernism that overwhelms everything as it passes trough ", do obligatory to treat certain aspects material about own event, reason why, the present document besides to mention information fundamental related to thematic of congress, (same which we have come analyzing through the accomplishment from the different arquidiálogos in America), includes the version more updated of the academic program of the event in order to present/display a panoramic one that allows to glimpse the methodology to follow during the days of accomplishment of the event. Equally annexed the first version of the guests to the event as well as the form of preinscription necessary to be documenting to the assistants who we must receive. Of complementary way, we are preparing the programs of companions, as well as of pre and post congress whose synthesis also could be analyzed in the present document.

Hoping that the exchange of information between all the participant presents, through the arquidiálogos in each country, is increased and been best means of motivation for the attendance in September of the 2000 she is fruitful in proposals and in presence, I invite to them to send to the seat of the Organizing Committee its preliminary conclusions, commentaries and requests in order to incorporate them to our final work
