Architecture & Migration
Every migration phenomenon suffers a cultural interchange process that at first is manifested in the search of
inhabitable space, which, each human group gradually adopts.
This phenomenon of cultural assimilation, adaption and transformation, becomes a spatial language, promoter and
modifier of the architectural forms, in processes that go from alienation, appropiation, alignment, to
transculturization.
The objetive of the V Costa Rica Architecture and Urbanism Biennal, shall be to have knowledge of and to detect
the architectural bonds and forms that identify us as a Young Continent, whose sole identify is defined as America;
Culture and Architecture of the Americas.
